1. Overview
These Terms of Service govern the use of services provided by Pocket WiFi Mexico, including the rental of Pocket WiFi devices and the purchase of eSIM data plans for use in Mexico. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Services
We offer the following services:
- Portable Pocket WiFi device rentals
- eSIM data plans for compatible devices
- Delivery or pickup coordination depending on the service selected
Our services are intended for lawful personal travel, communication, navigation, work, and general internet use while in Mexico.
3. Pocket WiFi Rental Terms
Pocket WiFi rentals are provided for the rental period selected at checkout. The customer is responsible for the device from the moment it is delivered or handed over until it is returned.
The customer agrees to:
- Use the device lawfully and responsibly
- Keep the device in good condition
- Return the device according to the instructions provided
- Not tamper with, modify, unlock, or misuse the device
Customers may be held responsible for loss, theft, severe damage, or non-return of the device and its accessories.
4. eSIM Terms
eSIM plans are digital products delivered electronically. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that their phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked before purchase.
We may assist in confirming compatibility when possible, but we are not responsible for incompatibility caused by unsupported, locked, restricted, or carrier-limited devices.
Once an eSIM has been delivered or activated, it is generally considered used and non-refundable except where required by law or where we determine that a technical issue on our side prevented proper delivery or activation.
5. Fair Use Policy for Pocket WiFi Unlimited Internet
Pocket WiFi Mexico offers unlimited internet service under a Fair Use Policy designed to help maintain a high-quality connection for all customers.
“Unlimited” means there are no daily data caps or time restrictions. However, our mobile network provider applies a fair-use threshold in the background.
- Data usage is measured per device, not per group
- There is no daily data cap
- Typical travel usage averages approximately 3–4 GB per day per device
- Each device is expected to stay within approximately 20 GB of high-speed data during the rental period
Significantly exceeding the normal travel-use guideline, including unusually heavy use in a short period, may cause the fair-use threshold to be reached sooner.
If usage exceeds the applicable threshold, the connection on that specific device may be reduced, flagged, or temporarily suspended. In some cases, the device may still broadcast Wi-Fi but may no longer provide internet access.
Examples of excessive use include:
- Continuous HD or 4K video streaming
- Large file uploads or downloads, including torrents and cloud backups
- Server-type, automated, or system-intensive connections
If the fair-use limit is reached
If a device reaches the fair-use threshold, we will do our best to notify the customer and help restore service as quickly as possible. Depending on availability, options may include switching to another device, rotating usage, or adding additional data. If no additional option is selected or available, the affected device may remain without internet access until the end of the rental period.
6. Coverage and Network Performance
Coverage and speed depend on local carrier infrastructure, signal availability, congestion, location, terrain, weather, and other conditions outside our control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific speeds, or full coverage in all areas of Mexico. Service may be weaker or unavailable in remote areas, inside certain buildings, underground spaces, or areas with poor carrier reception.
7. Delivery, Pickup, and Return
Customers must provide accurate travel, contact, hotel, and delivery information. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery attempts caused by incomplete, incorrect, or last-minute information provided by the customer.
Return instructions will be communicated depending on the selected delivery method. Failure to follow return instructions may result in additional charges.
8. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees not to use our services for:
- Illegal activity
- Copyright infringement
- Spam, abuse, or fraudulent conduct
- Network abuse or excessive automated traffic
- Any activity that could damage, impair, or interfere with network performance
9. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Orders are confirmed only after successful payment.
Pocket WiFi cancellations, modifications, or rescheduling requests may be accepted at our discretion depending on timing, availability, and operational constraints.
eSIM purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered, except in cases where we determine that the service could not be provided due to a verified issue on our side.
10. Support
We provide reasonable support for setup and basic troubleshooting during the service period. Response times may vary depending on time of day, service demand, and communication channel.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pocket WiFi Mexico shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business, missed communications, lost bookings, or travel disruptions resulting from network issues, compatibility problems, signal limitations, fair-use restrictions, or events beyond our control.
Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. The version published on our website at the time of use will apply.
13. Acceptance
By placing an order or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, including the Fair Use Policy applicable to Pocket WiFi unlimited internet service.
