Fair Use Policy (Unlimited Internet Service)

To ensure a high-quality service for all our customers, PocketWiFiMexico.com provides unlimited internet under a Fair Use Policy. This policy is designed to prevent excessive usage that could impact network performance for others.

What does “Unlimited” mean?

You can use your device without daily caps or time restrictions. However, our mobile network provider applies a fair-use threshold in the background.

Data usage is measured per device (not per group).
There is no daily data cap. As a general reference, typical travel usage averages approximately 3–4 GB per day per device.
Each device is expected to stay within approximately 20 GB of high-speed data during the rental period.
Significantly exceeding the average daily guideline (for example, heavy use in a single day) may cause the fair-use threshold to be reached sooner.
If usage exceeds this level, the connection on that specific device may be reduced, flagged, or temporarily suspended.
In some cases, the device may still broadcast Wi-Fi but provide no internet access.

Examples of excessive use

Continuous streaming of high-definition or 4K video
Large file downloads/uploads (e.g., torrents, cloud backups)
Operating server-type or automated connections

If you reach the fair-use limit

If a device hits the fair-use threshold, we will do our best to notify you and help you restore service as quickly as possible.
Depending on availability, we may offer options such as switching to another device, rotating usage, or adding additional data.
If no additional option is selected or available, the affected device may remain without internet access until the end of the rental period.

Mobile data in Mexico is supplied through carrier networks that apply their own fair-use thresholds to ensure overall network stability.
This helps all customers enjoy a reliable connection throughout their trip.
